A new milestone: Our electric Volvo lorry starts into the future. Yesterday evening, the time had finally come: we took delivery of our new electric Volvo lorry. A big step for our company and an even bigger one for the sustainable transport of the future. The truck will soon be on the road for the first time with our long-standing partner Hettich.
Hettich is a manufacturer of furniture fittings and stands for innovative solutions centred around functionality and design. Headquartered in Kirchlengern, the family-run company develops and produces drawer and runner systems, hinges and sliding and folding door systems.
The Volvo truck is not only a pioneer in terms of electric drive, but also fits perfectly with our philosophy of minimising our carbon footprint and maximising the efficiency of our processes.
But the best thing about it? The Volvo is eagerly awaiting the solar energy from our 1-megawatt PV system. With this combination of electromobility and renewable energy, we not only want to make the operation of our lorries more sustainable, but also set an example for the future.
We look forward to seeing the lorry in action and to deepening our collaboration with Hettich. It's just the beginning of an exciting chapter in our journey towards more sustainability and innovation in transport. Stay tuned - there is much more to discover.
